Dreamspace Goes Public on Base With Microsoft-Linked Data Layer Behind It
MakeInfinite Labs has opened its no-code blockchain app builder to the general public, running on Coinbase's Base network and powered by a data infrastructure project backed by Microsoft's venture arm.
Dreamspace, developed by MakeInfinite Labs, became publicly available on April 23, 2026, on Base, an EVM-compatible (meaning it supports the same smart contract standard as Ethereum) Layer 2 network built by Coinbase. The platform lets users describe an application in plain language and automatically generates the underlying smart contract (self-executing code stored on a blockchain), a front-end interface, and the blockchain SQL queries needed to run it. The data layer is provided by Space and Time, a verifiable database project that received a $20 million investment from Microsoft's M12 venture unit in 2022.
What the Platform Does
The core pitch is accessibility. Users type what they want to build, and Dreamspace produces a deployable onchain application without requiring any coding knowledge. Built-in features include crypto tipping, token-gating (restricting access to content or services based on token ownership), and custom contract logic. Transaction costs on Base are stated at under one cent, with confirmation times under one second.
Space and Time supplies the platform's data layer through a technology called Proof of SQL. This is a zero-knowledge coprocessor, meaning it can execute database queries across more than one million rows of data in under a second and produce a cryptographic proof that the results have not been tampered with. Space and Time indexes Base blockchain data going back to the network's genesis block, covering wallet balances, transaction histories, smart contract events, bridge activity, and Basenames (Base's naming system for wallet addresses). The project's CMO described the practical stakes for automated systems that depend on this data: "Agents transacting onchain need reliable data to act on...they need a way to make decisions based on data they can fully trust."
The AI generation layer draws on Microsoft Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI. Dreamspace entered beta in August 2025 before reaching this full public release milestone.
Token and Network Context
Space and Time's native token, SXT, was trading at approximately $0.0175 as of April 22, with a 24-hour trading volume near $12.86 million and a seven-day price gain of roughly 8.1 percent. Circulating supply stands at around 1.4 billion tokens out of a total supply of 5 billion. Market capitalization figures vary across data aggregators, ranging from approximately $24 million to $49 million. Readers should verify current figures directly through CoinGecko or CoinMarketCap.
Base, the network hosting Dreamspace, has grown into the largest Ethereum rollup by total value locked (TVL), sitting at roughly $4.4 billion as of early 2026. In 2025, Base captured more than 60 percent of all Ethereum Layer 2 revenue and processed over $17 trillion in stablecoin volume. The network routinely handles more daily transactions than Ethereum's main chain.
Why This Matters Outside the United States
The practical implications of this launch extend well beyond US-based developers, particularly in markets where formal blockchain training is scarce and Ethereum gas fees (transaction costs on the main chain) have historically been a barrier.
In Nigeria, which accounts for 4 percent of all global Web3 developers (the highest proportion on the continent) and where that talent base is growing 36 percent year on year, 53 percent of Web3 developers have never worked with global teams, according to data cited by Technext in April 2026. Nigerian founders raised $43 million in Web3 funding in 2025, more than double the $20 million raised in 2024, and the country records the highest daily peer-to-peer stablecoin transfer volume globally at $48.2 million per day. No-code tooling with sub-cent transaction costs could, in this publication's analysis, meaningfully reduce friction for developers and founders navigating those barriers.
In Southeast Asia, Space and Time already has a concrete footprint. The company's CMO confirmed that more than 140,000 Indonesian students are committed to onboarding to Space and Time through a student credentials initiative. Researchers and practitioners have identified analogous applications for the same verifiable data model in other markets: identity verification, educational credentialing, and land registry systems represent use cases that advocates have highlighted as potential fits for this infrastructure across Africa and South Asia. Proof of SQL is open-source and already integrated with Google BigQuery, the Sui blockchain, Stellar, and Uniswap V4.
India also represents a significant opportunity in its own right. Industry data places Asia at the forefront of global Web3 developer activity, accounting for 36.4 percent of the total, with Indian users among the most active in the region by wallet adoption metrics.
Space and Time is offering grants to early-stage creators building on Dreamspace, which could serve as a funding pathway for builders in Africa and South Asia who lack access to traditional venture capital pipelines.
What Comes Next
MakeInfinite Labs CEO Nate Holiday framed the launch in generational terms: "While the economy of the last decade has been driven largely by developers, we believe business in the AI economy will be driven by creators." Whether that vision translates to meaningful adoption in emerging markets will depend on how aggressively the platform pursues localisation, grant distribution, and developer education outside its primary US-focused audience. Space and Time's existing partnerships, including a live integration with W3.io that is already processing more than 200,000 enterprise financial workflows per day, suggest the data infrastructure beneath Dreamspace is already operating at scale. The question is whether the builder layer can convert that capacity into products built by the communities that arguably need low-cost onchain tooling the most.
